Welcome to the official website of the Serbian Youth League of Montreal, Quebec. We are a registered non-profit organization, with the purpose of promoting Serbian culture in Montreal and Quebec, cultivating interest in Serbian heritage, and organizing events that relate to Serbian culture in Serbia and the Serbian Diaspora, which serve the interests of the Serbian and Quebecois people. We promote Serbian-Quebecois friendship because we believe that there is Strength in Unity.

organization can spread throughout the world. All regional chapters of the SYL will be connected to each other, so that we can all work together.

Over 200 demonstrators marched through downtown Montreal before holding a vocal but peaceful rally in front of the U.S. consulate on February 24. Several speakers criticized countries like the U.S., France and Germany for quickly endorsing Kosovo's break from Serbia on February 17.
"The democratic rights of a country are being violated," organizer Diana Todic said of Serbia. "What precedent are we creating?" Several supporters from the Greek Orthodox community also joined in the protest as they, like Serbians, trace their spiritual roots to medieval Kosovo.
